Forgeyard Digital is an independent software studio specialising in women's health applications. We design and engineer privacy-first apps for underserved populations — starting with HRT and menopause, with roadmap apps in development for special educational needs (SEN), parosmia recovery, and blood pressure logging.
Our flagship app, HRTMe, is an HRT reminder and tracker built to handle the complexity of real cyclical regimens — patches, gels, and capsules on shifting schedules that ordinary reminder apps cannot model. Developed with input from practising NHS clinicians, the app launched organically in early 2025 and is trusted by thousands of women, found entirely by word of mouth.
Everything we ship is built to a consistent standard: medically careful language, genuine on-device privacy, native polish on Apple platforms with the same bar on the web, and the patience to handle the complicated cases other software ignores.
Jane McKay is a principal engineer with 25 years at the cutting edge of financial systems, connected systems, large-scale data warehousing, software architecture, CI pipelines and quality engineering — and, most recently, AI factory design. She architected HRTMe around a deterministic regimen engine — cyclical, concurrent medication schedules that ordinary reminder apps cannot model, tested as safety-critical software and validated with practising NHS clinicians. She founded Forgeyard Digital to bring that engineering standard to underserved corners of women's health, where the stakes are personal and good software is scarce.
